    This randomized phase III trial is studying donepezil to see how well it works in lessening side effects of radiation therapy compared with a placebo in patients who have undergone radiation therapy for brain tumors.

    Participants are 18 years old with diagnosis of primary brain tumor or metastatic brain tumor, at least 6 months since finishing radiation therapy to the brain, and more than 2 weeks since donepezil, methylphenidate, or EGb761.
