  1. Resource Description
"A novel pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cell line with Werner RecQ helicase mutation has been created and was established from a patient with Werner Syndrome. WRN is an enzyme involved with DNA replication and repair and mutations of WRN predispose cells to premature aging, senescence, and oncologic transformation. WRN has been implicated as a tumor suppressor gene in recent literature. This is believed to be the first cancer cell line with mutant WRN, based on a review of current literature."
