Resource Description
-
"AirMed Hemodynamics is a one-day course for flight nurses, paramedics and other health care providers. The program consists of a morning session of didactics and interactive Question/Answer discussions in preparation for national flight certifications (CFRN/FPC). The class emphasizes using hemodynamic monitoring in real-life transport situations with clinical case scenarios.
The afternoon portion will consist of hands-on training with the simulators and mannequins. The class will be divided into 4 groups that will rotate through various stations consisting of equipment training, competencies, and critical care simulation. There will be basic scenarios using the Laerdal manikins and a full code scenario using the METI Human Patient Simulator. These scenarios will use core principles from the hemodynamic lecture as well as current ACLS guidelines."
